The challenge
The development required a solar lighting option with an operating profile suited to UK winter conditions. Product selection needed to consider the required light output, available solar energy and the intended application.
Our approach
HDS advised on the lighting requirements and supplied EcoRay solar lanterns. The project combined product selection with consideration of the site’s lighting classification and performance requirements; the wider design was undertaken by others.
The outcome
The supplied lanterns provided a solar solution for the development. The case illustrates the importance of assessing the application and operating profile before choosing off-grid lighting.
