Lighting and electrical infrastructure upgrades for operational dockside areas at the Port of Liverpool.
The challenge
Coastal exposure, heavy plant and frequent vehicle movements created demanding conditions for dockside lighting equipment and its placement.
Our approach
The design considered heavy-duty materials, column setbacks and wind loading alongside lighting performance. Equipment selection responded to the operational setting, maintenance needs and the effects of the exposed environment.
The outcome
The lighting solution supported dockside activity and heavy traffic, with robustness and energy efficiency considered together in the design.
