Philip Lynch

Managing Director

Philip studied Electrical Engineering at Salford Polytechnic and has over 35 years' experience in the electrical and lighting industry. A member of the Institution of Lighting Professionals, the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET), and the Engineering Council. A trusted advisor to public and private sector organisations, Philip has delivered engineering expertise on some of the UK's largest infrastructure projects. He also contributed to the development and implementation of UK lighting design software and helped pioneer 868MHz communication technologies for the lighting industry, achieving ELEXON approval and CE certification for innovative control and monitoring systems. As Managing Director of HDS Lighting, Philip provides technical leadership, strategic direction, and engineering excellence across the company's projects and services.. .

Sue attained her BA Hons degree in Economics and Sociology at Manchester University and has over 25 years experiance in finance and credit control the UK lighting sector. Sue enjoys horse riding, Travel and reading.

Jake Lister

Lighting Product Manager

Jake graduated from Manchester with a BA (Hons) degree in Sound Engineering and began his career in technical retail marketing before transitioning into the lighting design industry. He joined the profession as a Junior Design Engineer and has since progressed into project management, with responsibilities spanning product selection, business development, and sales.

Away from the office, Jake is passionate about music and co-owns a growing independent music label, collaborating with artists across the globe.

Tom Lynch

Section 278 and Section 38 Manager

Tom trained as a highway lighting engineer and has amassed over 10 years of experience in lighting design. He currently manages the HDS adoptable highway lighting team, supporting clients across the housing construction sector. Outside of work, Tom has travelled extensively throughout the world, with a particular interest in countries bordering the North and South Pacific.
